Operations have always been my zone of genius. For nearly two decades, I’ve been designing systems, building workflows, and leading high-stakes projects - from managing multi-million-dollar initiatives to building the operations for a startup from the ground up.
But several years ago, I hit a wall. I was working two demanding jobs (one where taking time off wasn’t an option), logging 12+ hour days, and running at a pace that left no space to breathe. For almost a decade, this was my “normal”, until I decided I needed a different life. One where work didn’t consume me, where I could enjoy slower mornings, take time off freely, and truly feel the perks of being my own boss.
When I started working with founders, I quickly saw they wanted the same thing: freedom, in whatever form that meant to them.
Yet in almost every case, they were drowning in the same overwhelm; wearing all the hats, managing every detail, and slowly losing the love they had for their business.
What they didn’t realize (sometimes the hard way!) is that hiring alone doesn’t fix the issues.
Without the right infrastructure, delegation just spreads the chaos around. Moving from solopreneur to leader is a huge leap, and most founders are left to figure it out on their own. And when your business consumes you, your own well-being is the first thing to go.
